The pain of separation strikes fierce, like a tree,
Split by the lightning of duality.
Branches shatter, roots tremble with fear,
Tears flood my vision, the veil seems near.
Yet in the storm, a silence descends,
A stillness eternal, where sorrow ends.
For though my eyes weep, my soul takes flight,
The Third Eye awakens, beholding the Light.
The thunder of longing, the cries of despair,
Are drowned in the Shabd vibrating everywhere.
Each note a current, each sound a flame,
Calling me back to the Nameless Name.
O Lover unseen, O Source of All,
I stumble, I break, yet still I crawl.
For even in pain, the fire makes new,
It burns away “I,” to reveal only You.
The lightning that struck was not to destroy,
But to shatter the false, and uncover true joy.
The tree still stands, though scarred it may be,
Its roots now drink from Infinity’s sea.
Tears may flow, but they cleanse, they bless,
Each drop a jewel of tenderness.
The grief of the heart is the gate to the Whole,
Through suffering polished, You shine in the soul.
So let duality rage, let Maya deceive,
Your Shabd is the shelter where I believe.
In the stillness beyond, I dissolve, I unite,
A spark in the Ocean, a flame in the Light.
